What is image guided superficial radiotherapy?
Image guided superficial radiotherapy (IG-SRT) uses precisely calibrated, low-energy X-rays to target and destroy cancer cells at the skin's surface — without incisions, general anesthesia, or healing time. IG-SRT is a painless, scarless, non-surgical treatment for non-melanoma skin cancers such as Basal Cell Carcinomas and select Squamous Cell Carcinomas. Treatment is delivered in a series of short outpatient sessions, typically over several weeks, and most patients maintain their full routine throughout the treatment period.
For eligible patients, IG-SRT achieves cure rates equivalent to surgery, with superior cosmetic outcomes — particularly for lesions on the face, ears, and other visible areas.
